Are you trying to lose weight? Working towards a goal on one of your lifts? Having problems with your meal plan?
Talk about whatever your current goals are for your body and what you've been doing to achieve those goals. If you have some tips or information that might help another user, please feel free to share.
I weight train as a hobby so I'm mainly just interested in gradually but continually increasing strength, endurance, etc. Right now I'm trying to get my deadlift up to 2x by bodyweight, which I'm pretty close to. I've also recently discovered sardines - such a good, inexpensive protein source! I thought they'd taste bad but turns out I quite like them.

Sounds like you've got a good head on your shoulders when it comes to fitness. I'm currently in the process of trying to improve my push ups and sit ups for when I join the Air Force. Eventually I'd like to get into the gym and work out but I don't have a way to get there. I also need to work on my running but I can't stand running so yeah that's where I'm at in terms of fitness.

Yeah, I can't say I'm a big fan of running either. I force myself to do it for the health benefits, but I don't seem to get that runner's high people talk about. My main problem is how boring it is. If I'm running through an obstacle course or running across a court playing a sport that's a different story because it's fun, but just running on a treadmill or track is pretty dull even with headphones and music.
If you can, I would suggest getting a doorway pull-up bar and practicing those too since you'll have to do them in the AF. I think pull-ups are the king of upper body exercises; they'll build your back and shoulder mass like nothing else. I thought about joining the Air Force as well back in high school because I wanted to learn how to fly a helicopter and maybe get a job as a professional pilot. That's a cool skill to have.

I've been eating tins of tuna for the same reason, very cheap. I think sardines may have more sodium in them, might want to check on that. Make sure you're not neglecting those arms, get your OHP sets in and whatnot. If guys can't skip leg day, girls shouldn't skip the arms. That's what I think anyway. With running, I try to just get lost in my thoughts. I don't feel so much of a high as I do a sort of meditative trance when I'm running, and that's what I usually use to push me through. No one says you have to run though. Do any form of cardio you please. Running, swimming, biking, gymnastics, dancing, even low weight, high rep weightlifting. If you enjoy one more, you can do it exclusively unless you at some point decide you want to train for a triathlon. Either way, cardio is a really effective antidepressant, promotes great circulation and really helps you from getting burnt out in between weightlifting sets. It's something a lot of lifters neglect to their detriment going off what I've seen on /fit/.
As for me, I'm going to attempt to start my routine once more tomorrow. I just hope I'll have the time and motivation to stay with it for this last semester. No excuses.

Hmm, I don't think sardines should have high sodium - the ones I get don't, though I avoid the really cheap brands. I opt for sardines because they're a fish that can be eaten pretty much daily without accumulating toxins in the body over time. I mix it up with different proteins anyway, though.

Yeah funnily enough pull ups aren't a requirement in the USAF (for most jobs at least) but still I used to do pull ups on a door frame so I got pretty good at them I can usually do 10 on a bar and 7 on a door frame. Although it helps that I'm feather weight, but I haven't done them in awhile so might want to work on that I appreciate the advice though. Yeah being a helicopter pilot sounds fun just not for me I'm going in as a Cryptologic Language Analyst.

I am trying very hard to get myself to be more fit. It incredibly easy to binge on almost anything for me. I have been doing the insanity workout for a bit with my uncle. It has been going great. Until I have been having major stomach pains. I havent even been able to sleep correctly cause of it. Sore and exhuasted, but I have been encouraging myself to go out for a small jog. I feel great when I do a good workout for my day. But not being proactive and doing nothing, feels as if it saps more of my energy than anything else.

Talk about whatever your current goals are for your body and what you've been doing to achieve those goals. If you have some tips or information that might help another user, please feel free to share. So, recently I've been trying to lose weight from 286 pounds to ~190 in 9 months, and right now everything seems to be going extremely well for me, I've been on a calorie deficit for 3 weeks this monday without feeling bad or excessively hungry and the best part is that I've lost 2kg +/-... I'm not gonna start with lifting untill I reach my actual goal (170ish pounds by march 2017 I think?) To achieve this goal I just cut down a lot on my meal sizes and I started being more conscious about my portions in general.. If I were to exercise (well, let's say a 1hr walk every day which would be around 3-4miles) I'd lose 1kg (2.2lbs) per week, which is great, I'm trying to lose weight so I can become at LEAST chubby, but preferably skinny so I can transfer over to lifting later on, mainly because of poor self image and because I want to feel better about myself and I also wanna be able to dress well, I dress like a slob right now because I need to wear baggy clothing not to look fat unfortunately. If anyone on here really wants to lose weight just look up a weight loss calc, look up your TDEE, and your BMR, there are certain calcs that will even tell you how much you need to eat in order to lose weight
